It takes advantage in the plain of the network of tracks allowing to serve houses scattered in the olive groves, then rises to the hamlet of Kafou. Finally, the descent to Chrani is magnificent. No difficulties, the climb to Kafou is quite gradual. You can after Chrani continue to Petalidi, or get on a bus to Kalamata.

At the center of Agios Andreas (Άγιος Ανδρέας), take the road to Logga (Λογγά) towards the west. After 500 m, take the cemented track which goes to the right. Head north, then west after about 600 m. At the junction, 500 m further on, turn right then follow this small road north. 800 m further, it passes between two villas when it joins a paved road. Turn left. 150 m further, take the road to the right and follow it for 500 m. Take the path that goes straight past the greenhouses. Just after the greenhouses, take the track to the right, then quickly to the left. You pass at the foot of a large villa. Follow the path that rises among a few villas, take a breather and enjoy the panorama.
Continue on this path which keeps on climbing to the village of Kafou. The traces of the tracks could confuse you somewhat around the altitude of 70-80 m. Simply walk along the wall to the right, and at the altitude of 75 m, take the track that goes to the right. It joins another track 250 m further on, which you take to the left. Climb gently for 150 m, then turn right towards west then north-west, up to Kafou.

Kafou (Καφού), 1h30 from Agios Andreas. This hamlet has no shops, but the courtyard of its church located at the crossroads of neighboring paths offers you a stopover sheltered from the sun and bad weather, as well as a pleasant view.
Of these many paths, take the one that descends into a hollow, in the direction of the north. Go up on the opposite hill, turn left then quickly right to continue north. The path descends into a new hollow, then rises to find a wider track that you take to the right, towards the east. You pass in front of a luxurious tourist complex then you reach a small road which goes down towards the coast. The panorama over the Messinian Gulf and the Mani Peninsula is splendid. After enjoying this magnificent descent, your road ends in a street that goes left and right, take the left. 200 m further, you get to the main road Koroni – Kalamata. Go left, staying on the left side of the road, a sidewalk allows you to pass the bend in complete safety. You enter the village of Chrani.

Chrani (Χράνοι), 1h from Kafou. Chrani allows you to eat, stock up and sleep on site as well. You can continue your way to Petalidi (Πεταλίδι), or, as I did, take a bus to Kalamata (Καλαμάτα).
