➀ Leave the port of Methoni (Μεθώνη) along the bay to the east. After 1 km, take the 2nd left after the campsite. Cross the main road and continue on the track on the opposite side. The path rises rapidly to a small road that follows the crest of the hill, which you take to the right. 200 m further on, take a path on the left which leads you to the bottom of a hollow. You will find a track there that you follow south for 700m, before taking a path on the left that rises to the top of the hill. Treat yourself to a well-deserved break at the foot of the small church of Saint George (Άγιος Γεώργιος), and enjoy the panorama of the surroundings. Go down to the bottom of this new hollow. Shortly after the river bed, turn left at the fork. The path then climbs steadily for just over 1 km to the village of Finiki.

➁ Finiki (Φοινίκη), 2 hours from Methoni. The center of the village has a welcoming tavern. Take the path on the left just after the church. Follow it for almost 2 km, it takes you down to the bottom of a narrow hollow and then up the next hill. You get to a wider track, then to a small road that descends towards Kamaria.

➂ Kamaria (Καμάρια), a few scattered houses and 2 restaurants. Continue down towards the sea to Mavrovouni beach (Μαυροβούνι), after crossing the main road Methoni – Koroni. Walk along the coast for 2 km to Anemomilos beach (Ανεμόμυλος), then get to the street that leads to the village of Finikounda.
